The famous travel agent, Thomas Cook, was a son of Leicester and we saw this lovely statue of him near the station

  1. First off I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick
question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I’ve had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out.
I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?

    1. Getting started is always the hardest part. I usually try several different openings and then try to refine them. I always remember that whatever I want to say is new to the reader so the introduction needs to ‘set the scene’. The beginning also needs to catch the attention so the reader wants to know more. The time taken figuring out how to begin is not wasted, it is important to get it right. I hope this is helpful.
