The End of the Holiday

During our Rhone & Saone cruise we went through 30 locks. Some of them were quite attractive like this one on the River Saone

MV Maribelle left the Saone and rejoined the Rhone as we made our way back to Lyon. As we were going through Lyon we saw this strange building on the river bank, and wondered what it could be.

We disembarked in Lyon and made our way to the station to board a TGV to Lille where we changed on to Eurostar for the journey back to the UK. We arrived at St Pancras Station in London and John Betjamen was still there waiting for us to return

and next door to the station, outside The British Library, Sir Isaac Newton was still trying to work out some complicated mathematical problem
