Holiday in France – No.6

On the last day of our holiday we cruised down the Saone to – guess where!

Yes, Macon the centre of wine growing. There was a sign post telling how far you were from home depending on which country you came from. The English one was a surprise – why Crewe?

We wandered round the town on a gloriously warm and sunny morning and stopped for coffee in a very unusual coffee shop. It was known as the Wooden House and was the oldest building in Macon dating back to the 17th century.

Then it was time to return to the MV Maribelle for the last leg of our cruise
